יְחַזְּקוּ־לָ֨מוֹ ׀ דָּ֘בָ֤ר רָ֗ע יְֽ֭סַפְּרוּ לִטְמ֣וֹן מוֹקְשִׁ֑ים אָ֝מְר֗וּ מִ֣י יִרְאֶה־לָּֽמוֹ׃
Pinatitibay nila sa isa't isa ang masamang balak; nag-uusap sila tungkol sa palihim na paglalagay ng mga bitag; sinasabi nila, “Sino ang makakakita sa amin?”

All the presidents of the kingdom, the prefects, and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have consulted together to strengthen the king's ordinance [(since you are newly crowned and from a different land)], and to make a firm decree, that whoever makes petition of any god or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the lions' den.
